Choir Details & Policies 2025 - 26 

It is expected that all members are familiar with our policies that are updated & posted here each Term.

Registration is now open for Fall Term 2025!


Schedule

When students join Wolfgang Children's Choir (WCC), we encourage them to participate long term. Since WCC is an ensemble that continues to grow and develop overtime, it’s ideal to have long term members to maintain a constant standard of excellence and musicality.  Your child will grow and improve over time, showing an improvement in confidence, self-esteem and interest in music!
TERMS
​There are two terms per year.  All are o
pen to returning and new members. 
  • TERM 1: Fall / Winter (Sept 4, 2025 - Jan 16, 2026)
  • TERM 2: Spring (Feb 5, 2026 - May 29, 2026)
Please note:
​For everyone's best interest, after the 
third week of the term, new students will no longer be accepted and must wait until the following term to enroll. ​
HOLIDAYS
There are no classes held on school or national holidays, such as Thanksgiving week, Christmas break, Spring Break, etc.

There may be special events planned during that time for those that can attend.  For example, the past two years we performed at the "Clayton Christmas Tree Lighting" Ceremony.

A detailed calendar will be provides at the beginning of term.  

Rehearsals

Thursdays:
6:00pm - 6:50pm - Beginning Choir (Grades K-3)
6:00pm - 7:15pm - Intermediate Choir (Grades 4-12)

  • Your child is to bring their own folder, pencil, and water bottle to each rehearsal.
  • Welcome packets will be handed out in the first rehearsal and will contain: A packet of song lyrics, Intake information, Semester Calendar/ Dates, Photo/ Video release form
  • No snacks or colored drinks please. 
  • Please have students use the restrooms down the hall before rehearsal to minimize distractions.
  • 2 Parent Volunteers are requested to stay for each rehearsal to help with any students concerns and also taking photos. A signup sheet will be provided in the 1st rehearsal for parents. 
  • Students may receive a small treat at the end of rehearsals - please the director know if your student has any allergies or restrictions.

Membership Options

TIER 1 Membership : $325/ Term
CHOIR only 
  • Can be paid in full or split into 5  monthly payments of *$65.
  • Siblings are 50% off and pay $32.50/ month. 
TIER 2 Membership - $525/ Term
​CHOIR + One 30 min. private vocal coaching session/month
​
Can be paid in full or split into 5 monthly payments of *$105.
  • Private coaching sessions can be done virtually or in person. 
  • Additional sessions can be purchased for $40/session.
  • ​Siblings pay $72.50/ month

​All Members pay the following:
​
A $40 non-refundable registration fee at the beginning of each term.  (One registration fee per family.)

Payment Details:
  • Payments can be made in full at the beginning of term, or split into 5 monthly payments. 
  • Monthly payments are due by the 25th of the month, for 5 consecutive months.
    • Fall payment schedule: 8/25, 9/25, 10/25, 11/25, 12/25
    • Spring Payment schedule: 1/25, 2/25, 3/25, 4/25, 5/25 
  • There is a $20 Late Fee for all payments not received within 3 days of the due date.​
  • For families with more than one student enrolling per semester, there is a 50% sibling discount on choir classes.  ​​​​​
  • Students with outstanding accounts overdue more than 60 days will be removed from choir. At 90 days overdue, a collections process will begin.

Concerts

Each term concludes with a concert at The Clayton Center Auditorium.  Parking is available.
  • Term 1:

  • Students report at 6:00pm to the stage to lineup, warmup, practice on the mics, etc.
  • Doors open at 6:45pm.
  • Tickets to the concert may be purchased online (with an additional fee) or at the box office (no additional fee).​
Concert Dress is required for the concert. Dress your best!! 
  • Please choose clothing that is in the color scheme of the term. Fall - Neutral / Spring - Pastels
  • Please choose conservative clothing that represents your best and gives you the most confidence! No sweatpants or activewear.
    • EX 1: Dresses OR blouse and pants.
    • EX 2: Slacks, polo shirt OR button down shirts and tie (optional) 
  • Shoes can be casual or dressy - nude, black, brown, dark grey, dark navy, silver, white or gold.
  • No sneakers please.​
TSHIRTS are not required, but will be available for purchase each term. Tshirts will be worn for public appearances.

Refunds/ Cancellations

Your $40 registration fee is non-refundable, no exceptions. 
No refunds or makeups will be provided for missed rehearsals or no shows. 
​
WITHDRAWING
Please provide one month notice in writing to the director to withdraw from the program and allow time to stop payments.
Once payment has been made, there are no refunds on membership fees (unless paid in full at the beginning of term).
If paid in full, refunds will be prorated on # of weeks left in term after one month notice has been given. 


​CANCELLATIONS
If cancellations are needed due to extreme weather or illness, makeups will be scheduled at the discretion of the director, and the concert  may be pushed back accordingly.

Prerequisites/ Expectations

  • No prerequisites are required to participate (such as reading music, singing ability, etc.)
  • Students are expected to be able to follow the directions of the Director, respect others and stay on task. If your child has difficulty with any of these, please be aware that parents may be asked to sit with the child during rehearsals. 
  • If your child has any diagnosis or emotional/ personal needs that the director needs to know, please be sure to indicate this on the intake form you will receive in your welcome packet. ​
  • A listening list is provided each term for students to practice at home. Please practice regularly at home, as students will need to sing all songs memorized at the concert. ​

Agreements

PHOTO AND VIDEO RELEASE
By participating in WCC rehearsals and concerts, you acknowledge that your child's photo and video clips may be used for promotion and advertising.  They may be posted on social media outlets. ​

ACKNOWLEDGEMENT
Please understand that by enrolling and paying tuition for your child in Wolfgang Children's Choir, you certify that you understand and agree to these policies for the 2024-2025 year.
